Officially moved in,

After more than a few days without internet, or proper sanitary conditions… House has been completely revamped… and its looking great!

Classes begin tomorrow, and I couldn’t be more thrilled. P finally made her way to the 44 to move in, finally. Tonight’s mission: tape and edge kitchen. I am quite nervous for tomorrow. For this semester; it’s more of an anxious ecstasy.

The word cosmic comes to mind.

Courses:

Frenchy French

English Senior Sem: Sense and Sexuality

English Senior Sem: 20th cent Literature (comic novels)

Global Crisis (in conjunction with independent study)

Getting (quite) excited for my IS and fall, in general

I am moving into the home tomorrow. The Home. I am so thrilled. And have continued conversations over the course of my IS this fall. I am so excited. I know that there are other words, but this will have to do, for now.

I am also finishing up scarf no.2 of the season. (The first is a present for my dear Nata!) Scarf no.2 is probably my favorite, thus far. (Am also working on a ridiculously rastafarian-colored afghan, and it makes me chuckle as I advance my pointer-finger’s arthritis!

It’s really been a while

As I said in my last post, I am still wrapping up For Marx. I am enjoying it… but I think that I will get a lot more out of it as I re-read and post reflections and summary on Csothbeg144.

In general, I’m getting a little nervous about all of the reading I should be doing. I can’t lie and say I read all the time. I should be reading. But I don’t. I’m trying… I’ll just have to keep on trying a little more.

In other news, I’m completing my first day (of seven) without any processed sugar (white sugar, brown sugar, “raw” sugar, corn syrup, etc.) Feeling good so far, but I can’t lie, a lot of stuff has it in there. Tricky, tricky.

I think I’m going to finish the second to last essay in For Marx before I post again on Csothbeg144.

Signing off.

So I’m getting the feeling

That I was supposed to be at work at 7 and not 730. But you know… I definitely have overtime sooooo I will be 15 minutes late.  Emily kept talking about the MJ conspiracy to overshadow the mass panic caused by the coup in the ME, not to mention the threats from NK two weeks ago. Hrm. I’d like to read more into that, but highly doubt there is much available on it.

In other news… I received 5.5 hours sleep and will walk to College Avenue after another eight hours of work. Still working through Lukacs’ essay on Rosa Luxembourg. I would also do anything to not go to work right now.

Labyrinth Books in Princeton, tonight!

I did it!

Posted the second half of my response and rehash of “What is OM?”

Basically just hanging out now… reading a little about Two Lovers. It sounds like it should be an interesting watch. Thinking of reading a little before I go out.

Today, a brilliant one at that. Like an opal or a pearl:

I have posted some of my notes and quotes that I found interesting/intriguing during my read of Lukacs’ “What is Orthodox Marxism” on Csothbeg144. But I had to stop halfway through. I think I want to continue reading for now… move on to the next essay. Or maybe re-read some segments again.

It is so hard for me to really know how to talk about these sorts of things, I think that’s why this is a good attempt at a blog-proj. Like, who the hell cares what I have to say or highlight about Lukacs? What the hell do I know? Nothing. But I would really like that to change.

In other news: I am tired. Have worked nearly 30 hours in two days.

Back for more soon. Must attempt to learn more about popular culture in the last 48 hours… but I think it’s safe to say most people are still riding the MJ tide.
